Our Story

From Main Dealers to Main Street Our founder, Sam Stillman, started in the motor trade back in 1994. After years working as an Operations Director and General Manager for major dealership groups, he saw the industry’s flaws firsthand: the corporate jargon, the pressure to upsell, and the lack of personal care.

He wanted to build something different, a garage where independence meant integrity.

Hildenborough MOT Test Centre was born from a desire to escape the corporate ‘profit-first’ mentality. We wanted to create a local service centre that delivers the technical quality of a main dealer but with the warmth and honesty of a village business. Today, we are proud to be the garage that neighbours recommend to neighbours.

No. We use approved parts and follow official service schedules, so your manufacturer warranty remains fully protected (Block Exemption Regulation).
